the black widow that bit me in my sleep
One night, I was lying in bed when I felt a sharp pain in my leg. I turned on the light and saw a large black spider crawling away. I tried to kill it, but it was too late – the damage had been done. I later found out that I had been bitten by a black widow spider, one of the most venomous spiders in North America. Luckily, I received prompt medical treatment and made a full recovery. But it was a close call – if I hadn’t woken up when I did, the venom could have killed me.
the rat that ate my baby’s face
I was awakened in the middle of the night by my baby’s screams. I rushed to her crib and found her covered in blood. A rat had somehow gotten into our home and eaten half of my baby’s face! Thankfully, she survived after undergoing hours of surgery, but she was left with permanent scarring. To this day, I live in fear that another rat will break into our home and hurt my family again.
the spider that cost me my job
One day, I was working in my office when I saw a spider crawling up the wall. I tried to kill it with a can of bug spray but missed it and ended up spraying it all over my computer screen. The screen was ruined, and so was my job – I was fired on the spot. Not only did I have to find a new job, but I also had to pay for a new computer out of my pocket. Talk about a nightmare come true!
